Online Tools

University Human Resources has a variety of online systems that can guide you in your role at the university.  Most of these applications require the use of a NetID.  If you do not have a NetID, you may need to request one.

Systems for All Employees

• Absence Reporting System
  Regular Rutgers staff may view their own current fiscal year absences.  Authorized department administrators can track employee absences daily.
  
  
• Address Directory Update
  Faculty and staff can update their home address, work and home telephone numbers, emergency contact information, and email address at this site.
  
  
• Benefits Messaging System
  Rutgers employees can communicate live online with a UHR benefits representative during normal business hours. To launch the application, click on the above link and follow the instructions given. If there is not a representative available to assist you at that time, you will be given the option to send your question via email.
  
  
• Benefit Seminar Enrollment
  Faculty and staff can enroll in variety of educational seminars related to retirement planning, financial management, home buying, and more. After you login with your Net ID, select the "Benefit Seminars" option to view a calendar.
  

• Compassionate Leave Program For Donors
  Staff may donate vacation or sick time to the bank or may request time from the bank for use.
  
  
• Compensation and Benefits Statement
  Faculty and staff can view their Compensation and Benefits Statement, which includes program descriptions, coverage, and cost information associated with each plan.
  
  
• Professional Development Enrollment
  Individuals can enroll in a wide range of training programs and seminars offered through University Human Resources, Office of Information Technology, Emergency Services, Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, Accounting, and Division of Grants Contract Accounting.
  
  
• Rutgers RideShare
  RideShare is a carpool program open to all Rutgers faculty and staff on all campuses. RideShare is facilitated by University Human Resources to help you connect with others who share the same interest in conserving energy and saving on their commuting expenses.
  
  
• Tax Deferral Limit
  Faculty and staff can view their limit for making pre-tax contributions to a Tax Deferred Annuity plan.
  

Systems For Designated Users

Applicant Tracking System Hiring Managers can manage the recruitment; selection and hiring of new staff employees. New Employee Welcome and Benefits Orientation Hiring Managers on the New Brunswick/Piscataway Campus can enroll new hires in the weekly New Employee Welcome and Benefits Orientation. Pay-for-Performance Program Online System This data entry/modeling system is available to designated users to facilitate the process of awarding performance increases to eligible managerial, professional, supervisory, or confidential employees. Staff Compensation Program Online System This data entry/modeling system is available to designated users to facilitate the process of awarding performance increases to eligible URA-AFT employees. Temporary Job Order Request Hiring Managers can request temporary employment services.
